Document No. 10 – Diabetes:
This document serves as a practical guide to those who wish to achieve holistic health through complementary and alternative therapies by treating the “system” not just to suppress the symptoms or “quick-fix the problem”. If you are unsure if these remedies are appropriate for you, please carry out necessary research before using them.
1. Okra (Bhindi or ladyfinger) Latin name: Abelmoschus esculentus:
Apply vertical cuts with a sharp knife on four Okras. Insert them in a large mug filled with boiling water. Let them soak overnight for about 10 hours. In the morning squeeze them and extract the juice and the seeds. Throw away the Okras and drink the gooey liquid in the morning.
Okra helps to stabilise the blood sugar by curbing the rate at which sugar is absorbed from the intestinal tract. http://bit.ly/eYp9p5Apply vertical cuts with a sharp knife on four Okras.
